The revelation of its own power

The souls strong urge 

To guide itself to realms of darkness,

Anticipating thus

Through warmth of heart the sense-world’s revelation.

當冬天包裹著黑暗和淒涼的披風

圍繞在我溫暖的家外

我被呼喚站起去克服恐懼

勇敢的去迎接在我路途上的黑暗。

 

我的光每天越來越亮。

這光明溫暖，也告訴了我生命的變動搖擺。

而光，從我的心流瀉出永不會﹣停止。

所以，無論是悲傷，痛苦或衝突的到來，

我會是堅強的。

 

42^nd  week   

When winter wraps a mantle dark and drear

Around the world beyond my own warm hearth,

Then am I called to rise and conquer fear

And bravely meet this darkness in my path.

 

My light each day in brightness is increasing.

Its glow of warmth reveals the stir of life.

The light –stream of my heart is never –ceasing.

And so I’m strong, come grief or pain or strife.

Strives outward from the heart’s own core

To kindle and inflame god-given powers

In human life to right activity;

The soul thus shapes itself

In human loving and in human working.

正努力地從寒冷與黑暗中穿透出來。

上帝給我力量實現我的目標，

那愛的火從每一個金色的火花裡被點燃。

 

一個有愛的心在黑暗中會是炯炯燃燒的

但也表示在我雙手可以觸及的地方

要常常去實踐愛的功蹟。

The power of my heart’s bright flame

Is striving to stream out through cold and dark.

God gives me power to fulfill my aim,

That fires of love be kindled from each golden spark.

 

A heart of love that in the dark is brightly burning

Will mean that often to do deeds of love my hands are turning.

And dwell within my soul’s foundations 

There streams from love-worlds of heart,

To fill the vain delusion of the self 

The fiery power of the cosmic Word.

所有無用的幻想逃離！他們絕不可停留

當我的心的感受，是如ㄧ朵玫瑰般的真實而溫柔，

就能夠展開迎接新的一天。

And I live in depths of Mystery so deep,

I feel how silver waves, which gleam and glisten as they’re swept and swirled

From my own heart, like lovely lights seen through a veil of sleep, 

Go forth: true love, arising, surging from the darkness out into the world.

 

All vain illusions flee! They must not stay

When my heart’s feelings, true and tender as a rose, unfold to greet the day.

Surrendering to spirit revelation 

I gain the light of cosmic being;

The power of thinking, grows, 

Gaining clarifyingly myself for me,

And wakening there frees itself for me

From thinker’s power my sense of self.

I Listen to all that the Angels are saying. 

They give me their light, spun on threads of pure gold.

They grant me new power in living, in praying.

They bring me rich gifts which I carefully hold. 

 

The Child at his mother’s breast stirs and wakes slowly.

This gold makes a mantle to clothe him most holy.

ㄧ朵純白色的玫瑰，在黑暗的午夜時刻盛開。

黑暗的咒語被打破，撕裂。

在我的心中有一股神奇強烈的力量

天堂的孩子已在地球誕生了！

 

他如雪般的純潔。我的心中的愛發着溫暖的光

我將滋養這孩子，他ㄧ定會好好長大！

A Rose of pure white bloom in midnight’s dark hour.

The spell of the darkness is broken and torn. 

In my heart there’s a bursting of magical power

For the heavenly Child on earth has been born!

 

He is pure as the snow. With my heart’s love aglow

I shall nourish this Child, and he surely shall grow!

在黑暗的夜裡

我渴望成為ㄧ束光，

被種下的種子，很小但是發著光，

光亮的種子開始成長...

 

很快的，在我周圍的黑暗，空蕩，無光中，

上帝（天）的話語迴響起，ㄧ切萬物閃閃發光

純潔明亮。

WITHIN the darkness of the night

I long to be a light,

That seeds be planted, small but glowing,

Seeds of brightness which start growing…

 

Soon, in darkness round me, empty, void of light,

God’s Word resounds, and all things sparkle pure

And clear and bright.
